Cloud Dough Hearts

These hearts will have you floating on a cloud.  The dough is so soft and heavenly to touch.  This project is a lovely way to spend the day whether on your own, with friends or with your children.   


Prepared Cloud Dough

Heart shaped cookie cutter

Making the Cloud Dough Hearts

1) Prepare the Cloud Dough using the recipe here.

2) Layout parchment paper with a dusting of corn starch where you will roll out the dough with a rolling pin. 

3) Press the cookie cutter into your dough, placing them so that you get as many hearts as possible.


4) Dust the excess cornstarch from the hearts and transfer them to a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. If there is a lot of cornstarch on your hearts, you may use a damp cloth to wipe them down, just be mindful not to let them get too wet.



5) Using a straw or toothpick make a hole in the center top of your heart to make the hearts ornaments.

6) Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 175 degrees fahrenheit.  Flip the hearts about halfway through the baking.

7) Once the hearts have completely cooled, it’s time to decorate your hearts.  You may choose to leave them white for a soft natural vibe. 

8) If making the ornament style, you will want to thread ribbon or cord through the hole for hanging.
